The shore pines, the sound of the ocean, the cool break from the summer heat of the rest of the country are available to campers who visit the Southern Oregon Coast. Finding a camping spot in and around Bandon is relatively easy as there are many to choose from!

There are several state and county parks with campgrounds within 35 miles of Bandon. Due to the relatively mild South Coast climate, many of the following campgrounds are open year-round.

Bullards Beach State Park

Just 3 miles north of Bandon, north of the Coquille River, is Bullards Beach State Park. Sheltered from the ocean breezes, the campground is tucked into pine trees and features an abundance of RV and tent sites, some walk/bike-in, and a horse camp with 8 sites. For easy year-round camping, the campground has 13 yurts for rent. A yurt meeting hall makes yurt camping with a group easy and fun. Pets are allowed in the campground, and one yurt is pet-friendly. Some campsites are wheelchair accessible, and the campground includes restrooms with showers.

While camping at Bullards Beach, enjoy long walks or horseback rides on trails through the forest and on the beach and dunes, boating, and visiting the historic Coquille Lighthouse and the North Jetty. Paved paths for walking and bike riding wind throughout. The park also hosts regular presentations with local significance and music at the campground’s amphitheater and day shelter.

Cyclists will find solar powered phone charging stations and fix-it stations. The stations have a bike stand, basic bike tools and a floor pump.

Sunset Bay State Park

Located approximately 25 miles north of Bandon and near two other state parks is Sunset Bay State Park. The campground is a short walk from the beach and features tent and RV camping sites, some walk/bike-in, as well as yurts for rent, including sites and yurts accessible to individuals with disabilities. Pets are allowed in the campground, and one yurt is pet-friendly. The campground includes restrooms with showers.

While at the park, enjoy hiking trails, sandy beaches and rocky cliffs, incredible ocean views, birdwatching, boating, Botanical Gardens at the nearby Shore Acres State Park and more.

Boice-Cope County Park

Open nearly year-round from February through December, Boice-Cope County Park is located 18 miles south of Bandon near the community of Langlois. The campground has 18 dry RV sites and 13 tent sites. All sites have fire rings, BBQs and picnic tables, and an ADA-compliant restroom with showers is available in the center of the park.

While at Boice-Cope County park, be sure to visit adjacent Floras Lake, a haven for windsurfers, fishers and hikers.

Cape Blanco State Park

28 miles south of Bandon at Oregon’s westernmost point is Cape Blanco State Park. Several extra-large sheltered campsites, some walk/bike-in, are open to tents and RVs, and 4 cabins are available for rent. The campground is pet-friendly, and pets are allowed in one of the cabins. Some of the campsites and one cabin are accessible to individuals with disabilities, and restrooms with showers are nearby. Cape Blanco also has a horse camp with 8 primitive sites.

While at Cape Blanco, enjoy hiking, walking on the beach, fishing, and exploring the historic Cape Blanco Lighthouse and Hughes House.

Humbug Mountain State Park

Approximately 33 miles south of Bandon and just a few miles south of the town of Port Orford is Humbug Mountain State Park. The campground boasts some of the warmest camping in the area as the nearby mountains provide shelter from the wind. The campground has several sites for RVs and tents, some walk/bike-in, as well as restrooms with showers. Two electrical sites are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Campers at Humbug Mountain can enjoy windsurfing and scuba diving, a beautiful beach, and a rigorous hike up Humbug Mountain.

Bandon RV Park

In addition to the many state and county parks, the Bandon area boasts several private RV parks in Bandon with a variety of features.

Located within the city limits, Bandon RV Park is close to many conveniences, tourist attractions, and shopping in Bandon. Located on Beach Loop Rd. just a few minutes walk from the beach is Beach Loop RV Park. Besides large and pull through spaces and tent sites, they also have cabins for rent by the night, week or month. Bandon/Port Orford KOA

The family-friendly Bandon/Port Orford KOA is located on highway 101 between Bandon and Port Orford in the community of Langlois. It is tucked into the trees but has many luxuries and conveniences such as wi-fi, cable TV, seasonal pool/hot tub/sauna, bike rentals, snack bar, playground, basketball court and rec room.
