Bandon's Light Parade

It was a dark and stormy night, but that didn't stop Bandon's residents from hanging out in Old Town Saturday night for another Nog/Cider/Wine Walk and the first annual Light Parade.

Stores were open late for shopping and enjoying holiday treats, and carolers wandered up and down the street while waiting for the parade to begin. As 5:30 approached, folks found dry spots under store awnings and were treated to brightly lit friends and neighbors making making a loop on Second and First Streets. Some notable entrants were The Grinch and residents of Whoville, a vintage motorcycle, Grover and Debby of WinterRiver Books and their electric car, and a boat at sea complete with leaping dolphins. The parade ended with Santa and Mrs. Claus and their dolphin friend floating down the street in a boat to the choir's rendition of "Here Comes Santa Claus."

The weather may bewet, but Bandon's spirits are certainly not dampened this holiday season!
