McKay’s Market: There are 10 locations in Southern Oregon of this employee-owned market. The first store was opened on 5th and Central in Coos Bay, Oregon many years ago. Today you can shop at McKay’s Market #1 at 149 S 7th Street or McKay’s Market #2 at 130 N Cammann St in Coos Bay. The stores are a trusted household name offering high quality products at reasonable prices. 

Natural Grocers: What started as a dream to provide everyone with access to good food to promote a healthy and active lifestyle by a couple in Colorado in 1955 has grown to over 164 stores in 20 states. The Coos Bay store is located at 562 N Broadway. The store only sells 100% organic produce, 100% pasture-based dairy, and 100% free range chicken eggs. They take pride in vetting all the products they sell (including body care products) and offer one-on-one sessions with their team of Nutritional Health Coaches and in-store nutrition classes and recipe demos. 

Coos Head Food Co-op: Located at 353 S. 2nd Street this is the oldest natural food store operating on the Southern Oregon Coast. Earth-friendly products, organic foods, and natural foods have been made accessible to the community here since 1971. There is an ongoing effort to increase the amount of locally grown foods sold at the co-op. You don’t have to be a member to shop, everyone is welcome. When choosing to become a member you will be an owner, contributing to the capital needed for operations and receiving annual patronage dividends. 

Boutiques & Décor 

Painted Zebra Boutique: Located in neighboring North Bend, Oregon at 1997 Sherman Avenue this shop offers trendy and affordable women’s clothing and accessories. The store features a traveling boutique trailer, for your shopping convenience. Check their website for the boutique trailer schedule. 

Katrina Kathleen’s Home Décor & Gifts: Located at 191 S. Broadway in Coos Bay this store features coastal collectibles and unique home décor. 

Bikes & Boards 

Moe’s Bike Shop: Located in neighboring North Bend, Oregon at 1397 Sherman Avenue this bike shop has earned a reputation for efficient service and great products. 

South Coast Bicycles: Located in neighboring Bandon, Oregon at 805 2nd Street SE this bike shop offers bike service and repair, bike trade-ins, and financing. The shop sells a full range of bicycles and gear. 

Bandon Bicycle Works: Located in neighboring Bandon, Oregon at 20 10th Street SE this bike shop sells new and used bicycles, and parts and offers maintenance workshops and route planning. The shop also features material fabrication to customize your ride (disc brake conversions to beach carts and everything in-between). 

Bahama Boards: This family-owned surf shop has two locations, one in Coos Bay and one in Cannon Bay. The Coos Bay location is at 650 Ivy Street. There is a good selection of eco-friendly surf products including surfboards, kayaks, SUP, and wetsuits. Boards and wet suits are available to rent for $20 each. A full rental will cost around $50 (with booties and gloves). 

Waxers Surf & Skate: Located at 222 S Broadway, Coos Bay this surf shop has a large selection of surfboards, skateboard decks, and accessories.
